Chick Corea era un grandissimo artista, di origine calabresi ma nato negli States a Chelsea, ha vinto ben 23 Grammy Awards, ha suonato con Miles Davis, autore di brani come Spain, Cicily, Miles High, La Fiesta, Armando’s Rumba, leader di progetti come “Return to Forever” e tanti altri! Il duo formato da Roberto Gorgazzini (pianoforte) e Fiorenzo Zeni (saxes), cerca di ripercorrere alcune strade che Corea ha reso famose, proponendo un repertorio rivisto e ri-arrangiato di alcuni capolavori dell’artista, mescolando le proprie esperienze personali con un sound ricco di armonie, virtuosismo e momenti lirici, incastonando il suono dei sassofoni con le sonorità polifoniche del pianoforte.

The duo of Roberto Gorgazzini (piano) and Fiorenzo Zeni (saxes) seeks to retrace some of the musical paths that Corea made famous, presenting a reinterpreted and rearranged repertoire of some of his masterpieces. Blending their personal experiences, they create a sound rich in harmonies, virtuosity, and lyrical moments, weaving the saxophone’s voice seamlessly with the polyphonic textures of the piano.
